The Panamanian singer Sech dropped the explosive accompanying music video of his new single "911"

Panamanian R&B star Sech became the overnight darling of Latin radio, after releasing his summer jam “Otro Trago ”. And recently he dropped his new single #911 "He goes off on an ex that left him, saying that he’s doing better without her now. There’s no love lost as Sech tells her to call “#911” if she’s hurt by his words."

Sech was born Carlos Isaías Morales Williams in Río Abajo, a township of Panama City, Panama. Both his parents were pastors; and like many of the world’s most memorable R&B singers, Sech developed his vocal technique as part of his local church choir. He also spent his youth covertly writing love poems, jamming out at home with his three older brothers, and unsurprisingly, reveling in the classic slow jams of Boyz II Men.

Sech music’s mission is to keep centering Panama. Last year, he planned a five-day music festival called El Bloke Summer Fest to coincide with Carnaval, the bright celebration that takes place over several days at the end of February and the beginning of March in cities across Panama. Sech helped organize a lineup that included reggaeton artists from other countries among them Puerto Rico’s De La Ghetto, Arcangel, and Myke Towers, as well as Panamanian newcomers such as the husky-voiced rapper BCA and the pastel-haired artist El Boza. The festival had to be scaled back since it coincided with Covid-19, but Sech doesn’t think it’ll be his last event showcasing Panamanians. “El Boza, BCA, Diez Mil, Jordan, they’re all doing it really well,” he says. “They’re [bringing something] totally new… and there’s so many other artists who have a ton of talent here.” Once the pandemic ends, Sech hopes he can tour again to keep introducing people to his music.

Since breaking through with the global hit “Otro Trago” in 2019, Sech’s star continues to rise. He secured another smash in 2020 with “Relación.” The song was already doing numbers with Sech alone, but the remix with Daddy Yankee, J Balvin, Rosalía and Farruko took it to the next level. Recently, The Panamanian singer-songwriter dropped the explosive, accompanying music video of his new single “911”. Sech wrote “911” with his longtime producers Dimelo Flow and Cerebro, who produced his J Balvin collaboration “La Luz.” The song starts off with Sech serving those soulful vocals that he’s known for before the reggaeton beat hits. He goes off on an ex that left him, saying that he’s doing better without her now. There’s no love lost as Sech tells her to call “911” if she’s hurt by his words.
