Born on December 8, 1982, in the Saint James district of Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. Onika Tanya Maraj known professionally as Nicki Minaj is singer, songwriter, television personality, and actress who’s known for her flowing quick-spoken rap style and for her provocative lyrics. Determined to make it in the music business, Nicki Minaj took on backup singing roles for local New York City rappers, including Full Force. Soon, she began writing her own material. She was eventually discovered by the Dirty Money CEO Fendi, who came across Minaj's MySpace page, loved what he heard, and signed her to his label. That connection led Minaj to Lil Wayne, who collaborated with her on a series of mixtapes, the first of which, Playtime Is Over, was released in April 2007. This and subsequent mixtapes, including Sucka Free (2008) and Beam Me Up Scotty (2009), showcased Minaj's female swagger and out-front style. She signed to Lil Wayne’s Young Money label in August, 2009, becoming its
first ever female artist. She solidified her growing rep with appearances on the We Are Young Money compilation album (2009). Nicki Minaj had also been branching out into other areas. She provided the voice of mammoth Steffie in 2012’s Ice Age: Continental Drift and made her movie debut in 2014’s The Other Woman, opposite Cameron Diaz. She later received a Teen Choice Awards 2016 nomination for her role in Barbershop: The Next Cut. She has fronted a number of endorsement deals and advertising campaigns, including MAC Cosmetics, Adidas Originals and Pepsi, and has her own fragrance line. She is a shareholder in the Tidal streaming service. Often cited as the "Queen of Rap" and the "Queen of Hip Hop" by several media outlets, Minaj is also one of the best-selling music artists, with more than 100 million records sold worldwide. Several media outlets have described her as one of the most influential rappers of all time, and Billboard ranked her as the top female rapper of the 2010s, and seventh among the top female artists.

Call of Duty's Nicki Minaj operator bundle available for Warzone
As promised, Nicki Minaj is now part of the Call of Duty universe, bringing a blast of pink to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0. Nicki’s not only the first “self-named female Operator” in Call of Duty history, she’s hitting the battlefield in what appear to be the highest heels ever seen in a first-person shooter.
Nicki’s putting those heels to good use in one of her finishing moves (“Get Bodied”) in which the rapper jumps on the back of her opponent and grinds those stilettos into the lumbar and cervical regions of her downed foe’s spine. Other finishers included a nasty karate chop to the neck and a roundhouse kick. Suffice it to say, if you’ve ever wanted Nicki Minaj to step on you, realistically your best option is to face her and lose in a game of Warzone.
Nicki Minaj Releases Pink Friday 2 Perfume
Nicki Minaj announced the launch of her Pink Friday 2 perfume on Instagram Sunday with the caption: “It’s official. My brand new fragrance #PinkFriday2 is now available at @jcpenney,” she wrote. According to the comments, the perfume sold out in less than 11 minutes after she posted with another user saying the launch “feels like 2010 all over again.”
