NORMANI
Born in Atlanta, and Raised in New Orleans, she and her family relocated to Pearland, Texas, after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Normani attended private school as a child, and was homeschooled since sixth grade. From the age of three she competed in dance, gymnastics, and beauty pageants. She and her mother traveled between Houston and Los Angeles for acting, singing and dance auditions. She recorded a couple of songs, her first at age 13, and appeared in the HBO series Treme. Normani has said that dancing was her "first passion".

From a very young age, the young Normani started singing gospel and participated to several dance, gymnastics and beauty contests.At the age of 13, Normani recorded her first song and played a role in HBO's "Treme" inspired by the emblematic district of New Orleans, rocked by African-American and Creole culture. Former member of "Fifth Harmony" Normani Kordei skips the first round of the audition for the musical program "The X Factor US" in 2012 by performing "Chain of Fools" by Aretha Franklin. The Normani's musical style has several influences, she has cited 1990s and 2000s R&B music, Aaliyah, Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, Missy Elliott, Mya, and Lauryn Hill as her musical influences. In 2015, Normani released two dance videos, "Commas" and "Do Not Disturb" with Fifth Harmony choreographer "Sean Bankhead". In 2017, she released many cover mashups "Fake Love" and "Sneakin" by Drake, "Cranes In The Sky" and "Don't Touch My Hair" by Solange and "Say It" by Tory Lanez. Then, Normani took part of the show "Dancing with the Stars" (season24) with her dance partner "Valentin Chmerkovskiy" and ranked third in the final. And when Normani isn't in the spotlight, she takes care of her two adorable turtles "BB" and “BJ". In 2018 Normani released a song with Khalid titled "Love Lies" for the soundtrack of the movie "Love Simon" and then successively released several new songs, "Checklist" & "Slow Down" with Calvin Harris & Wizkid, "Waves "in Featuring with 6lack, and "Dancing With A Stranger” with Sam Smith. In 2019 Normani released her first solo single "Motivation", co-written by Ariana Grande. Thereafter, Normani participated in the soundtrack of the film "Charlie’s Angels" with song "Bad To You" featuring Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande. And quite recently Normani participated in the soundtrack of the film "Birds of Prey" with the song "Diamonds" in collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion.

Normani, who became Savage x Fenty's first brand ambassador in 2018, made her catwalk debut for the lingerie brand in 2019 and blew viewers away with an epic dance number. The following year, she returned to the event to model a white bridal outfit. This year's appearance has to be her best one yet, and fans ate it up immediately. In the third installment of Rih’s runway event, now streaming on Prime Video, Normani makes her third appearance, this time to perform her new single, “Wild Side.”
